A Twilight Competition is to be held this year that is to be organised by Wyong and we will post information when we receive it. However Norah Head will be running the "Summer Hockey Fun Night"
We will be simply extending our training session throughout the Summer but we are turning it into a summer competition.
This is ideal to bring friends and family along who have never played or are interested in playing.
We will be running a Juniors competion from 5:30 - 6:20 . This will be Under 9s - Under 13's only. We will have coaches/ mentors and Umpires so that the kids get to know the rules and play in a friendly real game environment. The game will be 2 x 20 Minute halves with 5 minute break
The first of the Fun Friendly games starts at 6:30p . This is for Under 15's and up. This is mainly designed for the new people of the people who just want a bit of fun. There will be Ref's to ensure the game is played correctly and to try and teach the new people the Rules. This will be 2 x 30 min halves with a 5 min break
There will be another fun game at 7:40pm but it will be a little higher calibre of player. This will be for the players that wish to keep their fitness up and keep their eye in. Again we will have Ref's to keep the game moving. This will be 2 x 30 minute halves with a 5 minute break.
We will decide the teams on the first night. If you have already got a team together please turn up so we can organise a draw.
At this stage the game will only be played on the Sand depending on the level of interest that we get.
Please note this is an excellent opportunity to train some much needed Referees for next season. Remember Ref's do get paid for their time.
The Fees will be $50 per player for all Juniors. $60 per player for all Seniors. We will require complete payment before taking the field so that we can pay for the use of the field. For new players to Hockey we will need to work out a Registration fee with Hockey NSW. We will have more information on this later. All winter players are already registered and insured.
As per our current Training we will be playing Monday Nights.
5:30pm - 6:25pm Juniors - 2 x 20 min Halves 5 minute break
6:30pm - 7:35pm Fun Division - 2 x 30 min Halves 5 Minute Break
7:40pm - 8:50pm Semi Serious Division - 2 x 30 min Halves 5 Minute Break
The Season will kick off Monday October 25th. There will be a Christmas Break from 6th Dec until 31st Jan and continue until 28th Feb. We intend to have a Season Breakup party on the same weekend as our rego day... Coincidental right ?
